Packing down the flat..zzzzz

Yesterday was the day 2 start packing all our stuff ready to move. The rain kept pouring down and it was perfect to do such an indoor activity.

After an hour of sorting out paper work and puzzle a huge amount of books into boxes I had the earge for a break and cake.

I have always time for baking! And that also makes Superman happy :) This time Marble Cake.

Whip 150g melted butter and 150g sugar together. Then add 3 eggs and whip. Add 250g flour, 2ts baking powder, 2ts vanilla essence and stir till its smooth.

Add 2 fingers of milk into the mix as well. Then separate the mixture and pour 2/3 into a bread baking tin.

Add 2 spoons of cocoa powder, 2 spoons of sugar and 1 finger of milk into the 1/3 leftover of the mixture and stir till smooth.

Add the chocolate mix into the same baking tin and draw a fork through the mixture a couple of times to blend the colours. Mixture taste really nice I promise...

...only after baking the cake in the oven for round 30min 175 degrees it's tasting twice as good.

Colours of marble when it's cut? I am not so sure about that, but I think it looks alright though.

Then Superman had brought me the Sunday Times and I can not ask for a more brilliant break on a rainy sunday afternoon :)

House Hunting & Road Trip

Some music for the road trip:

WAKE UP!!!! An early morning Superman and me half a sleep rushing around the flat packing some sleep-over bags, booking a hotel and getting ready for yet another road trip down to Plymouth, and this time to find our new home. At a gas station in Swansea I was browsing the shelves after some decent snacking and trying to decide which water bottle to go for. To my pleasant surprise I found Norwegian drinking water!!!! Is Klar, water from the glacier. Yey! I wouldn't have swapped this treasure for anything (not even a freshly made Costa Coffee). If a glacier can't wake me up.. ☺

Water, planner and note pad, mobile phone, a list of selected properties to view and a map. Organised, but of course an iPhone probably got an app for that too...

And we are off...

Driving for miles and miles...

Coffee Break!

Drive some more...

Not long now..

Food!

Walking around viewing flats.

Getting some rest and considering our options carefully...

Finally, I think we found our home. Viewing flats is stressful but I think we made the right choice in the end.

Film: Red Riding Hood

Just seen Red Riding Hood which I have been looking forward to since last year when I first saw the trailer on YouTube. I suppose for those who got a thing for ware wolves it is a film worth watching, but if you are looking for the thrilling excitement I would just stick to watching the trailer or maybe just make a sandwich in the dark.

I have to admit that I get easily scared when watching films, only in this film I found the most terrifying moment was when Red Riding Hood looked back in time, when she was a child and were about to slid a rabbit's throat with a knife.

Poor white little soft rabbit. Along with a lot of other random happenings in this film, I found this scene with the rabbit quite unnecessary for the plot of the story. The film makers also seemed to have a desperate need to put quotation and happenings from the original fairy tail, which just made me wanna cringe.
I am not so sure about the film makers achievement concerning the end of their version of this fairy tail, but surly they can not have thought this through.

Maybe it is time for Hollywood to give the Era of the Ware wolves a rest and give way to new ideas. Leave the vampires out as well, they have ruled the planet way too long now. Lol but I just have to see the last film of the Twilight Saga and then Full Stop!!!
